Atlantic College Expands Choice for This Years College Applicants

This year, third-level applicants in the West of Ireland and in Galway specifically will have an additional college to choose from. Atlantic College (situated directly opposite the new coach station just off Eyre Square) is offering a range of full-time and part-time accredited programmes suitable for both school-leavers and mature students.

The courses on offer are in the areas of childcare and social studies, computers and IT, business and human resource management and accounting.  Of particular interest to this year's school-leavers will be the FETAC Level 5 Nursing Studies, Healthcare Support and Childcare programmes.  This is particularly welcome this year as it is already reported that the CAO points levels have increased in many areas with particular pressure in the area of healthcare.  The availability of Atlantic College’s FETAC programmes will provide an alternative route to higher education for many who don’t go directly to third-level.
