Atlantic College has announced details of its distance learning courses beginning this Autumn. Atlantic leads the way offering the 4 mandatory modules of FETAC Level 6 Advanced Supervision in Childcare through distance learning. Atlantic recognised the difficulties in studying and working in the childcare sector. In response to student’s feedback on this matter, Atlantic developed distance learning modules. This enables the students to learn from home at a time that suits them together with access to tutor support. The courses are designed to combine the best of both face-to-face and online learning strategies. Atlantic have built in supports to help the students successfully complete the courses – a small number of workshops and one-to-one tutor support through the customised online learning platform.

The first module, Child Development begins on Saturday 10 September with a one-day workshop setting out all that students will need to do to successfully complete the course and also detailing all the supports which the College have put in place to ensure that students have a very positive learning experience and will be well able to succeed.

Anyone interested in knowing more about Atlantic’s supported distance learning childcare courses can contact the College by calling the College’s FreeCall number 1800 938 868. Details of the distance learning childcare modules and start dates are available on the colleges website: www.atlanticcollege.ie.
